The clear winner here is the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G, which shows excellent center, mid-frame and corner sharpness, especially when stopped down. The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 suffers quite a bit in the corners due to field curvature. Here, we can see that the Tamron suffers greatly at anything beyond 50mm, showing very poor overall performance.
The Nikon 16-35mm f/4G VR does quite well at 24mm, but not at the same level of the 24-70mm f/2.8G, which is incredibly sharp in comparison in the center of the frame. When it comes to the corners, however, the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G doesn’t do nearly as well thanks to its heavy field curvature. One can obtain better corner results with the 24
Sigma does a good job of taking indoor photos. But Nikon produces the natural color more. Nikon is noticeably longer than Sigma when it pulls the 70mm. When it comes to shooting the moving objects both lenses struggle a bit. They keep losing focus. But overall Nikon 24-70mm does a better job than the Sigma 24-70mm.
